What To Expect

Why Therapy?

At its core, therapy is a space where you can slow down, reflect, and begin to understand what’s going on beneath the surface: your thoughts, your emotions, and your experiences, in a way that feels safe and supportive.

Where It Begins

Often, people come to therapy because something feels off.

It might be stress, anxiety, a life transition, or a general sense of feeling overwhelmed. Sometimes there’s a clear reason, and sometimes there isn’t, but either way, it’s a sign that support could be helpful.

Together, we begin by gently exploring what you’re experiencing and putting language to what may feel unclear.

The First Session

Once you reach out, you’ll be scheduled for an initial session and sent a few forms to complete ahead of time.

The first session is simply a chance to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you in and what you’re hoping for, while making sure the space feels comfortable and supportive for you.

It’s completely normal to feel unsure at first, this is a new step, and you don’t have to have everything figured out.

Ongoing Work

If you decide to continue, we’ll meet regularly and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

Some sessions may focus on talking through what you’re experiencing, while others may include practical tools and techniques to help you better understand and manage your emotions.

The process is collaborative, flexible, and centered around what you need.
